Chrok La Eang Waterfall

Not the biggest but possibly the most enjoyable waterfall area in Cambodia. At Chrok La Eang Waterfall, you will find a Cambodian style “resort” area with wooden huts dotted along the river, small bridges over the rapids and vendors keen to sell you a lunch of roast fish or chicken.

The main attraction is a 1km hike upstream with numerous viewpoints of the rocky river. The path is a bit overgrown and difficult to follow in parts, depending on the water level you may have to detour inland up the hill and back again if the route adjacent to the river is not passable. Reaching the top, you will likely be alone with the main waterfall that drops into a beautiful pool of water full of fish. It is ideal for a swim after working up a sweat hiking there.

The area is only minimally developed at the entrance area but once you start hiking it is completely natural jungle.
