Angkor Night Market
After you have had your fill of temples and pampered yourself at the spa, no doubt you’ll end your trip with some shopping in Siem Reap, and what better place is there to do that than Angkor Night Market?
Originally founded in 2007, Angkor Night Market is just a stone’s throw away from Siem Reap’s famous Pub Street area. The night market is completely geared towards tourists and is packed full of souvenir stalls. Here you can buy the usual clothes you find in all markets, including the famous baggy elephant print trousers so many tourists wear, as well as jewellery and local handicrafts. You can also find some typical Cambodia produce such as the wonderful Kampot peeper.
If you’ve never been before then it’s worth a visit during your time in Siem Reap, that is if you can drag yourself away from the temples. This is of course a great place to try out your bargaining skills and there is a bar inside if you fancy a quick break from all that shopping.
If you are looking for somewhere with a lot of atmosphere then the Angkor Night market does lag a bit behind places like Pub Street, however it’s always work taking a look for yourself and living it, loving it and sharing your experiences with us.
