100 Column Pagoda

The 100 column pagoda got its name from the 100 structural columns it houses. It is located in the Sambour district of Kratie province, north along the Mekong River from Kratie town.
The large central pagoda has a colourfully-decorated interior and is worth a stop if you are nearby, but it is a bit of a drive from Kratie.
It is built on the former site of the Royal Palace temple of Sam Phu Borak Capital of the Chen La Era. During Khmer New Year, locals often flock to the temple to celebrate the occasion.
