If you haven’t got any plans for the May Day holidays, then the guys at C4 Adventures are planning their next challenge in the form of C4 Aural Mountain Ascent. In a nutshell, the three-day, 32km trek will see you go from forest to jungle to summit one of the highest trails in the country at an elevation of 1,650 metres. Prepare to be introduced to a breath-taking part of Cambodia’s Cardamom Mountains.

What is the C4 Aural Mountain Ascent?

While this adventure is definitely not for the light-hearted, it offers a great way to delve deep into life in the heart of the Cambodian jungle. This unforgettable adventure through the Cardamom Mountain’s rugged terrain takes you through dense forests and along mountain streams, while immersing you in Cambodia’s rich culture, history and biodiversity.

Trekkers will hike along a 35km trail (elevation: +1650m, -1450m) to the 1,813-metre peak of Aural Mountain. There, you will be rewarded with breath-taking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This includes impressive vistas of Cambodia’s lush jungles and wildlife.

Along the way, you will also have the chance to experience village life and meet friendly locals who are eager to share their culture with you.

The Itinerary

The price starts at $299 per person, including a guide, food and drinks and transportations.

• cancellation insurance: +$29 (fully refunded up to 48hours before departure),
• 1 carrier: +$149 (up to 12kg in a sealed mountain bag).

10AM: departure from Phnom Penh

1PM: arrival at Aural village

1.30PM: camp installation, lunch

3PM: ascent briefing, equipment checking

6PM: dinner

Day 2

5.30AM: departure to base camp

7.30AM: arrival at foot of Aural mountain to start ascent

11PM: arrival at camp 1, lunch break, camp installation, preparations to Aural Mountain final ascent, trek up to the top

12.30PM: departure to Aural summit

2PM: Aural mountain peak, 1,813m

2.30PM: trek back to camp 1

6PM: dinner

Day 3

7AM: breakfast and preparations for departure

8AM: departure for extraction point

A small personal bag can be left in the C4 vehicle during your adventure
