Kampot River Cruise

Kampot is blessed with having a river that winds through the town, making a sunset river boat cruise an essential on any itinerary. And there are plenty of options, with many boat operators offering sunset cruises along  Preaek Tuek Chhu River.

The late afternoon sees hundreds of fishing boats head out to sea. Watching them chug in procession as they set off on a night on the waters is quite a spectacle as you make your way along the river.

To arrange a sunset river cruise, visit the riverfront in Kampot town and look for the large tourist boats – often two or three boats strung together with a large platform and sundeck on top. Hop on and enjoy a couple of hours cruising the river as the sun sinks into the horizon.

Later in the evening ,there is a chance to see fireflies lighting up the sky along the riverbank.
