Where to Go after Enjoying Koh Rong and Koh Rong Samloem Islands?
From the islands the first place to go is the only place the ferry will take you - the port city of Sihanoukville. This might be your destination or just a place to switch mode of transport before embarking on a further journey. We suggest the latter.
Heading east along the coast will bring you past the spectacular Bokor Mountain to the popular but peaceful, riverside town of Kampot. We guarantee you will want to linger here for a while, and explore the pepper plantations. Kampot Pepper is the finest in the world.
A little further east lies the small but just as lovely province of Kep, famed for its seafood and pepper crab, which you can enjoy at the Kep Crab Market. If you wish to, you can then continue your journey to Vietnam crossing from Prek Chak to Hà Tiên.
But that would be a pity as there is so much to enjoy in Cambodia. Turn west instead of east and you can pass through the Wild Cardamom mountains towards Koh Kong.
Head inland along Highway 4 and you will reach Phnom Penh, one of the most intriguing capitals in Southeast Asia.
